The schedule set up ahead of time which team owner faces off against which for every week of the fantasy football season. This schedule gets set before the season starts and typically runs through to the end of the regular season of the NFL.

In an 8-team league, with 14 regular season games, each team will face the other twice, accounting for 112 total games throughout that fantasy football season. At the end of the regular season, the top 4 teams meet in the playoffs, normally with the 1st place team playing the 4th, the 2nd place team playing the 3rd, and the winners of both of those games playing each other for the championship.

When setting up a schedule, take into account the number of teams and the dates in which you want to have your playoffs, because you will need to schedule some real-world games to be your playoff games so that all teams can accumulate points right down to the end.

There are several websites, including fanball.com and ESPN, that will allow a fantasy football league to book its schedule online and even collect and tabulate scores after each game.
